This Blog supports 3FM Serious Request 2008
Yesterday I went to Breda (NL) to support the Serious Request 2008. 3FM DJ's: Giel Beelen, Coen Swijnenberg and Paul Rabbering stay for 6 days in a house of glass. In this house they play requests from people 24 hours a day. The money people donate is for a charity.
If you want to support the Serious Request also, please visit: http://seriousrequest.3fm.nl/ (19 - 24 December 2008)

SDN Magazine 99 Preview
On November the 21st
SDN-Magazine no. 99 will be released. I wrote an article for that release about Portal Technology. It discusses some advantages- and disadvantages from Microsoft SharePoint v.s. DotNetNuke. The Goal of this article is helping people make a better choice of using SharePoint or DotNetNuke. For developers there is a part describing WebPart development (SharePoint) v.s. Module development (DNN). A main difference between SharePoint and DotNetNuke is that SharePoint can use several contentdatabases (e.g. for each SiteCollection). DotNetNuke contains only one instance database. DNN has out of the box multi language support. SharePoint is verry strong in Office integration. This and more could be read in my article: Portaltechnology - SharePoint or DotNetNuke?
Back from Outsourcing Trip
I went for a couple of days to Kharkov - Ukraine for an international SharePoint
project. I had the ability to meet our outsourcing company and people and work
face to face with them. I made a stopover in Vienna. It was an exciting trip
because I never traveled outside the European Union before and this was my first
international business trip. Back at home, it was a productive businesstrip.
